Collaborative practice agreement and AHCCCS eligibility renewal bills pass Senate Health and Human Services Committee

Two key bills moved from the House Committee of the Whole and into the Senate Health and Human Services Committee on Wednesday. These bills are House Bill 2490, pertaining to collaborative practice agreements between pharmacists and providers, and House Bill 2622, pertaining to Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) eligibility renewals. Both bills passed unanimously.

I’m putting an end to pandemic politics once and for all

Howdy!

If you’re like me, you’re fed up with the CDC endlessly moving the goalposts for lifting COVID restrictions and are frustrated that they keep playing politics with the pandemic. My colleagues and I in the Arizona legislature are committed to putting an end to this madness. This is why I’ve co-sponsored and supported several bills to take power back from the unelected bureaucrats trying to run our lives.

Here’s a quick rundown of what we’re working on to curb unconstitutional COVID mandates:

HB 2616 — Prohibits schools from requiring students to wear masks without consent from a parent or guardian.
HB 2453 — Prohibits government entities from requiring masks.
HB 2449 — Requires hospitals to facilitate clergy visits even during a declared state of emergency.

Even the CDC has admitted the pandemic is over, announcing a change in restrictions yet again last week. But the “trust the science” Democrats will do anything to hold onto power. That’s why they won’t let go of the mandates, because they use them to control society. But we’re saying enough is enough and taking back our freedom.

Can you believe it? We’re almost one-third of the way through this legislative session! Keep up with what I’ve been working on here.

The Chinese Communist Party isn’t welcome in Arizona

Howdy!

While the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing kicked off last week, the forced labor of Uyghurs continues, and it seems the world is turning a blind eye. The Chinese Community Party hopes that Americans won’t notice it — that the Olympics will sugarcoat the long list of human rights violations that occur in China every single day.

That’s why my bill, HB2488, will send a strong message to Communist China and call out their blatant abuse of power. HB2488 will prohibit the state and other public entities from entering into contracts with companies or services unless the contract includes written certification that the company does not — and will not — use or rely on forced labor of Uyghurs in Communist China.

This isn’t a Republican issue — there is a consensus in the Arizona legislature to stop the influence of CCP in our state. That’s why my bill passed unanimously out of committee and the House. It’s all done in the House and goes to the Senate now.

Wondering what else I’m working on? You can see a full list of my bills here.

Here are the bills I’m sponsoring this session

Howdy!

I wanted to make sure you saw some of the bills I’m working on this session!

I’m taking on Communist China by combating the use of forced labor of ethnic Uyghurs. My bill, HB2488, will prohibit the state and other public entities from entering into contracts with companies or services unless the contract includes written certification that the company does not — and will not — use or rely on forced labor of ethnic Uyghurst in Communist China. I refuse to let Arizona turn a blind eye to the horrible human rights abuse occurring in Communist China.

I’m extending Second Amendment rights to 18-21 year olds by creating provisional concealed carry permits. If you’re old enough to go to war at 18 years old, you are old enough to enjoy your Second Amendment right. That’s why I’m running HB2489 to increase accessibility and remove barriers for concealed carry permits.

Those are just a few important pieces of legislation I’m working on this session. You can see a full list of my bills here.

I’d venture to say that the Arizona legislature has convened for one of its most important sessions yet. Our state is at a crossroads, and we have a job to do to ensure the future of Arizona is free and prosperous. That’s why I’m running for re-election. Please sign my petition to ensure that my name is on the ballot.
